‘America The Beautiful’: Nashville stars release song to aid symphony musicians

Leading voices in Nashville united this week to release a rendition of “America The Beautiful” that aids local symphony musicians impacted by COVID-19. Trisha Yearwood, Amy Grant, War & Treaty and Keb’ Mo’ — stars in country, Christian, Americana and blues music, respectively — join Grammy Award-winning pianist Matt Rollings and Golden Globe nominated composer Kristin Wilkinson for a take on the patriotic standard. “This song is a balm and a prayer, a much needed reminder in these troubled times,” Amy Grant said in a news release. Song proceeds benefit “Nashville symphonic musicians” who were furloughed for months due to the ongoing pandemic. Last year, the arts organization postponed in-person events through July 31.  Rollings and Wilkinson worked on the song at Sound Emporium in Nashville. Read the full story HERE.
